This is the first in a series of posts that look at developments and current tools to aid filmmakers in the production of your creative content.
There are a number of new AI tools and more coming at lightning speed, that can really turbo charge your ideas. The tools I will look at can greatly assist in covering the full spectrum from pre-planning through to final release.
In this first blog we will will look at pre-production tools. Though this is not a totally comprehensive guide to everything out there, it is a starting place on your journey to discover what we can expect as AI makes more of an impact on our work processes.
Your own imagination is the engine for driving all of this, so I will not include scriptwriting AI tools in this blog.
Part 1
AI and pre-visualization
If you are trying to get ideas for the look of your production have a look at the recent release of STABLE DIFFUSION XL. Stable Diffusion is a text-to-image suite of models launched by Stability AI.What I like about this tool is that it is open source and unlike say, Midjourney (the reigning monarch), that is proprietary.
It can be run on a modern consumer GPU. SDXL 0.9 presents a leap forward in creative generative AI imagery.
The creators define it as having "the ability to generate hyper-realistic creations for films, television, music, and instructional videos, as well as offering advancements for design and industrial use, places SDXL at the forefront of real world applications for AI imagery."

Lastly I will also suggest taking a look at Kive.ai.
This is a really amazing tool to create assets with AI. It generates images with AI, enables the use presets to easily achieve styles, replace backgrounds or details with a click as well as generating storyboards.
